Auf der Überholspur der Innovation. / Corporate communication

What and how a company communicates defines the company itself as much as the services or products it offers. Companies must be able to communicate (well), whether externally or internally. Therefore, communication should be clear, sincere, appreciative, and happen at eye level.

THE PROBLEM

In a spec project, we thought about what modern corporate communication could look like. What is the best way to communicate to potential customers what the brand stands for, to motivate employees for internal growth, or to communicate the company’s values?

THE SOLUTION

In this example of a fictitious company (in a German speaking country), the company should present itself externally as modern, innovative, and forward-thinking. Internally, as a reliable contact for all employees (especially important for onboarding). The visual aspect must be able to fit into the CI of the company and at the same time express something new and innovative. The visual language should emphasize the new way of thinking, but at the same time remain within the framework of the company’s existing visual language. A bridge between the present and the future should be created and communication should reflect this.

THE RESULT

Concise slogans that reflect the company’s values, people with a positive vibe, additional small text (if necessary) and the key visual (which here reinforces the person and at the same time reflects the “Think Out Of The Box” mantra), shape the primary means for branding, positioning, and communication. Corporate communication that works on all levels is the goal. Results of this specification work can be seen in a few examples here.

Cleale / Promotional video

Cleale / Promotional video

Every business, be it big or small, relies on strong promotional material to advertise its products or services. Therefore we created an engaging promotional video for the photographer Klara Leschanz aka Cleale to showcase her photography and promote her services.
The problem
Photography, while it can convey a sense of speed and dynamism, is still a static visual form at its core. So how do you dynamically showcase something static?
The solution
The most obvious solution is of course video. While there are many different ways to achieve this, like for example cinemagraphs (still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs, forming a video clip) which alter the photos in itself, the best way, in this case, was a promotional video with dynamic movement and sparsely used text. The quality of the photos from Cleale speaks for itself, therefore not much is needed to enhance the visuals. First, a clear line of thought must be made, which in turn is the text that works as a guide for the images, delivering just the bare necessary information, while the visuals compel the viewer to watch the video till the end. The selection of the best photos was based on Copywrite. The combination of text, moving images and catchy music creates a dynamic environment that is engaging on several levels while promoting the service and calling the viewer to action.
The result
A dynamic promotional video showcasing the extraordinary photography of Cleale (who is also a part of the rokd team), while also promoting and encouraging the viewer to book a session with the photographer. You can watch the videos below (EN & DE version).

If we are to build brands, then we of course must build our own. This is how we came about the brand identity of rokd, the visual communication agency.

The problem
How does one create a brand from scratch? In the glut of various advertising and creative agencies, how do we stand out? Sure a unique logo and style help, but what makes our agency special?
The solution
